New Mask Policy

Effective August 2, 2021.  As you may know from the news, New Haven County has moved into the "substantial" infectious rate category regarding the Delta Variant of COVID-19. After reviewing state and CDC guidelines we have determined that to protect our community, including the young children and vulnerable adults who frequent our building, it is necessary to reintroduce additional protective measures. We do this reluctantly and with the hope that as more people get vaccinated that this will be a temporary setback.

Effective immediately, Congregation Or Shalom will require mask-wearing in accordance with CDC and the CT Department of Public Health guidelines.

At this time, masks must be worn throughout our building. Personal hygiene remains important, and we encourage the use of hand sanitizers from our sanitization stations located in our lobby and to continue practicing safe social distancing.

The Delta Variant is highly contagious and can be spread by both the vaccinated and unvaccinated. Hopefully, this will be a blip and we will be able to return to a more relaxed environment soon. In the interim, please remember that we are concerned for the health and well-being of our community and doing all we can to keep everyone safe.

With Shalom,

Bob Spaulding

President
