Adult Education Movie- Nina's Children

Register in Advance at:

"Nina's Children" tells the astounding little-known story of an orphanage established in Oslo, Norway to enable Jewish children to escape the impending Holocaust looming over Nazi-occupied Europe. The film focuses on the days following Nazi Germany's invasion of Norway, when the director of the orphanage made an unimaginably selfless plan to save her children. The film's creator, Nina Grunfeld, whose father was one of the rescued children, was named after the orphanage's courageous director, Nina Hasvoll-Meyer. In 2006, Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust Remembrance Center, bestowed upon Hasvold-Meyer the title "Righteous Among the Nations." Nina's heroism was recognized during our Community Kristallnacht Commemoration last November.
