Religious School Philosphy
Starting in Kindergarten and culminating with the Bar/Bat Mitzvah class, the goal of our Hebrew School is to impart to our children knowledge of Hebrew, Bible, Israel, Jewish History, Folklore, Prayers, Values, Laws, and Customs.
A great poet once wrote: "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire". We believe that his words are even truer with regard to Jewish education: The ultimate goal of our Hebrew School is not only to impart "Jewish knowledge" to our children, but to show them how Judaism can be a source of joy, strength, and guidance in their lives.
We aspire to teach Judaism to our children in such a way that they will choose to lovingly transmit it to their own children one day! We accomplish this through a variety of experiential activities, such as: celebration, song, dance, story-telling, arts & crafts, drama, field trips and hands-on workshops.
